National Account Updates: Clearer Statuses & Process Improvements

We’ve made updates to the National Account Sales Policy and National Account Request Form to provide clearer structure and ensure clear ownership and alignment when pursuing National Accounts.

National Account Statuses
National Accounts are now categorized into three statuses that define authorization and engagement:

  • In Pursuit – Assigned for pursuit but not yet approved or won
  • Active – Approved account; Rep is authorized to sell
  • Inactive – Previously active but no longer assigned; Rep no longer retains rights

Securing Approval to Pursue a National Account

Before engaging a National Account on behalf of AAON, reps must first obtain “In Pursuit” status. There are two ways to get started:
  1. Submit the National Account Request Form found in the Rep Policy Manual under "National Account Request Form" to the Director of National Accounts and your RSM.
  2. Request to pursue through myAAON.
     
Once approved, you’ll be authorized to begin engagement.
