Reminder: Follow the AAON Technical Academy Training Path

This is a reminder to follow the recommended training path when registering technicians for AAON Technical Academy courses.

This year, the Academy introduced a set course sequence to eliminate overlap between classes. Each class now builds on the one before it, so content covered in one course is no longer repeated in another. Technicians who enroll out of order may miss foundational information needed to succeed in more advanced classes.

Recommended Training Sequence:

1. Introduction to Controls and Commissioning

   • Overview of AAON applications, controls, and sequences

   • Introduction to key third-party partners, including VFDs and airflow stations

2. Controls

   • In-depth training on configurations, setpoints, alarms, communications, and troubleshooting

   • Hands-on labs involving AAON controls and third-party partner equipment

3. Introduction to Stratus Controls and Commissioning

   • Introduction to AAON’s next generation of controls and commissioning tools
